Intro
This project originally started as an assignment for my History of Communication Design class. Prompted to choose a currency and redesign it, I focused on redesigning the Mexican Peso, following the Bank of Mexico's purpose of including cultural heritage details while expanding my own designs. It further developed into an informational zine for the Denver Zine Fest, illustrating three bank notes and one coin, and including annotations of design choices, what certain items meant, and how they played a part.
Mexican Peso Redesign

Project Process
Since this project manifested further from a class project back in Spring 2024, this zine's process took about 2-3 months for total completion during the summer. It was crucial to narrow down visual conceptions of what the additional bank notes and coins would look like, how it connects to Mexican heritage, the information needed for the annotations, and how everything would be layout in the zine.
